Course Description:
This course of study is a textual exegesis of I John, II John, and III John. It will not be linguistically technical but will deal with linguistics when that is helpful to proper interpretation. It will not be overly theological but will focus on major doctrines in each text and how it relates to the whole of the Scripture. It will not be primarily homiletical but will deal with each context and practical application of the text. The study and assignments are designed to enable the student to grasp the depth of John’s writings as they pertain to the Christian’s life, lifestyle, belief system, and confidence in his or her salvation.
