It therefore, focuses on the historical narrative that begins with the period of the Joshua/Judges and continues through the end of the Divided Kingdom. An introduction to the principles and practices of preaching, including a brief introduction to basic public speaking, sermon styles, deductive  topical sermon development, and survey of the minister and his personal life. This study will trace the historical outworking of God’s redemptive purpose for humanity from its inception in the mind of God in eternity  before the foundation of the world to its fulfillment in Christ and the church.

We will see that God PURPOSED redemption before time began. What He purposed, He PROMISED. What He promised, He also PROPHESIED. What He prophesied, He PERFECTED at the cross. He PROVED it with the resurrection. Peter PREACHED it at Pentecost, and God expects the church to PROCLAIM it.

Course Description:
This course of study is a textual exegesis of I John, II John, and III John. It will not be linguistically technical but will deal with linguistics when that is helpful to proper interpretation. It will not be overly theological but will focus on major doctrines in each text and how it relates to the whole of the Scripture. It will not be primarily homiletical but will deal with each context and practical application of the text. The study and assignments are designed to enable the student to grasp the depth of John’s writings as they pertain to the Christian’s life, lifestyle, belief system, and confidence in his or her salvation.

This course focuses on the study of the New Testament letter of Paul to the Galatian churches. It therefore, focuses on the historical  background to the letter; Paul’s call to and his work of ministry within these churches; a definition, exposition and defense of the gospel he preaches over and against the need to observe OT Torah; and a strong emphasis upon the cross of Christ as the foundation for humanity’s right standing before God and the resultant good and holy life fueled by the Holy Spirit’s presence in the Christian’s life.
